So many dreary days lately that I took out what little color there was in this photo. I used the “newspaper” effect on it as well

  1. I can imagine there wasn’t much color here to start with, so removing the color really helped with the Overcast theme. A well thought out approach!

  2. The silvery tones work so well here. That solitary figure in the background keeps it from being a sterile landscape. BTW: where is this? It looks like Fifth Avenue along Central Park in NYC, but I think the wall is a bit higher there.

    • Thank you. The reason it looks like Central Park is because it’s Prospect Park in Brooklyn, which was also designed by Vaux and Olmstead. PP was their favorite of all of the parks they designed because they had much freer reign on what they could do.

  3. I agree with Julie. I really like the lines in this pic. Definitely a good choice to put it in black and white as well. It’s been kind of grey lately. Hopefully, the colour will come back soon.
