Remembrance

Earlier this week I volunteered to fulfill a request from Find a Grave to take photos of the grave of Army Specialist Alexander Rosa. He died at 22, one month after his wife gave birth to their first child. The request said that he had a special place in their hearts and any photos would mean a great deal to them. I received a thank you, along with a note saying that my photos arrived on his daughter Ellie’s fourth birthday. Rest in Peace, Alexander Rosa.

  1. How eerie that they both died at 22 years of age. What a great gesture on your part, and what touching photos. I especially like the second one with the tight crop around the cross.

  2. It looks like this family has seen a lot of tragedy. If I’m reading it right, his own father died at the age of 22, when he was only two himself.

  3. Very touching but sad. Must be so difficult for that family to lose two men at such a young age. I’m sure they appreciated your kindness and helpfulness.
