My Year in Photos 2012
Look what I found beneath ground……grocery carts in the subway station. Obviously these are important enough to somebody that they warranted locking up.
I found these carts in the meadow, but never in a subway station.
The black and white works well for this image.
Now that is an odd place…our homeless population will cart these around w/ them and lock them up when not in use…a possibility! Great find and wonderful processing!
my bet is homeless person as well, but their carts are usually not empty.
I like the way somehow the chain stands out in the photo.
It’s a whole different subterranean world down in the subway (not that my town has any!) so the b+w processing works well. After all, you’re not in Oz.
I wonder if they are chained up until the rightful owner reclaims them?
They look to be from different markets, maybe there is a bounty.
I was reading a blog and saw this http://www.brooklynartscouncil.org/documents/1704
You should check it out!
They could be a couple of ‘get away’ trolleys, used in a robbery perhaps….
These carts are expensive – maybe they are being held for ransom!
Great choice to transform in to b&w!!!
A scene I don’t ordinarily see…starts one thinking about all the have’s and have-not’s of this world.
