Sunshine
I spotted this cool piece of glass in the sidewalk. Then I spotted another and another. Turns out they were all the work of a woman who owns a pottery studio in a warehouse district in Gowanus.
Here is the way it looked with only minor adjustment level tweaks.
I also did an Instamatic.
I like the Instamatic!
Sure beats leaving behind one’s initials and year in the concrete.
Wonderful, wonderful, reminds me of the song: … let the sun shine in …
Did the trail of glass squares lead to her shop? Love the Instamatic look.
Yes, it did. There was some nice pieces, but this one was my favorite.
What a fun little discovery! I like the first image.
Hopefully by spreading some sunshine, she also brought in the business…this really cute!
fun with glass! I like the top shot
Like finding an unexpected treasure!
Cool textures and detail in #1. I agree with Jacki that this beats leaving your name etched in concrete.
what a wonderful way to light up the sidewalk!
as for my parsley shot , this is the curly ones flowers going into seeds. I left some on the plants as I tjought they looked great, boty to look at and as an odd addition to my herbspot outside
How cheery, hope she gets lots of business from this. I hope she put these in the wet concrete by stealth.
What a fun thing to find by looking down. I like the top shot–it shows it in all its colorful glory.
